A picture book can open a window for children to explore the world;
A professional book can also become support for parents to understand their children and accompany their growth.
On July 16, Suzhou Worldful New Material Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “WDF”) visited the Huqiao Child Protection Station and carried out a public welfare reading support activity. WDF donated children’s picture books and professional books on family support for children with special needs to the station, enriching its reading corner and taking practical actions to help create a more diverse and enriching reading environment.

This donation was not simply a supplement of books, but a targeted selection based on the actual needs of the children served by the Child Protection Station, focusing on children’s reading, family education, and professional understanding. Through books as a medium, WDF hopes to provide continuous reading support for children, parents, and teachers.
Book Donation, Building a Bridge of Communication
During the preparation stage of the activity, WDF learned that some of the children served by the Child Protection Station include children with autism and children with cognitive disabilities. During their growth, these children need not only more companionship but also greater understanding and support from their families, schools, and society.
Based on these needs, WDF selected books for two major groups with different reading needs: children, and parents and teachers.
(1) For children, WDF donated picture books suitable for children’s reading and interaction, including The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Guess How Much I Love You, From Head to Toe, and Baby Bear Picture Book Series. Through repetitive sentence structures, simple illustrations, and interactive elements, these books encourage children to look, listen, imitate, and respond. Through participatory reading experiences, children can gradually build their willingness and ability to explore the world, understand themselves, and communicate with people around them.
(2) For parents and teachers, WDF donated professional books including Autism Spectrum Disorder: A Guide for Parents and Professionals, Social Game Training for Children with Autism: A Guide for Parents and Trainers, and Applied Behavior Analysis and Child Behavior Management. These books provide references in areas such as child development cognition, social interaction, and behavioral support, helping parents and teachers better understand children and accompany their growth.

Picture books are the “words” given to children. Through simple illustrations and repeated sentences, they help children understand the world; professional books are the “light” for parents, providing practical methodologies when they feel most uncertain.
We placed these books in the reading corner of the Child Protection Station for parents and children to borrow at any time. Through the combination of different types of books, WDF hopes that reading can not only accompany children’s growth but also help more families gain understanding and support, allowing books to become a bridge connecting children, families, and social care.
Shared Picture Book Reading, Opening Warm Companionship
At the event, with the organization of the Child Protection Station staff, WDF volunteers participated in a picture book reading session and joined the children in exploring wonderful story worlds. Reading is not only the transfer of knowledge but also an exchange of emotions. Through picture book reading and interactive sharing, volunteers accompanied the children through a relaxing and enjoyable reading experience, allowing them to gain inspiration from stories and feel companionship through communication.
Through shared reading, we hope not only to bring children a joyful reading experience but also to plant the seeds of a love for reading in their hearts, allowing the fragrance of books to accompany their healthy growth.
Practicing Public Welfare, Sharing Warmth

The development of an enterprise is inseparable from society, and giving back to society is also a responsibility that enterprises should undertake.
While focusing on material innovation and high-quality development, WDF actively pays attention to public welfare initiatives and hopes to convey warmth and create value through actions within its capabilities. From a moment of reading companionship to the enrichment of a reading space, WDF believes that every small but sincere act of kindness can gather into a force that promotes the positive development of society.
