A New Chapter in Corporate Green Development: WDF Successfully Obtains ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certification
In August 2023, WDF officially began preparations for the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certification. A project team was established, and meetings were organized to define the responsibilities and tasks of each department, clarify environmental objectives and environmental policies. Subsequently, each department carried out the project work in an orderly manner, established and improved relevant system documents and departmental records, reviewed and revised documents at all levels, and then issued the controlled documents to each department after approval.
Through the unremitting efforts of all employees and the rigorous review by a professional team, WDF successfully obtained the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certification in early 2024.
This important milestone not only demonstrates WDF’s firm commitment to environmental protection but also marks a solid step forward on the company’s path toward sustainable development.
About ISO 14001
ISO 14001 is the designation for Environmental Management System Certification.
The ISO 14000 series standards are environmental management system standards developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). ISO 14001 is the core standard within this series. It is not only the basis for establishing and auditing or reviewing environmental management systems, but also serves as the foundation for developing other standards in the ISO 14000 series.
The ISO 14001 environmental management system model follows the traditional PDCA management approach: Plan, Do, Check, and Act. This means planning the objectives and principles to be achieved through management activities; implementing these objectives and reflecting the above working principles during the implementation stage; identifying problems through inspection and taking timely corrective actions to ensure that the implementation and achievement processes do not deviate from the original objectives and principles, thereby continuously improving processes and results.

ISO 14000 is a series of international environmental management standards developed by Technical Committee 207 (TC207) of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) since 1993.
